Basketball England, the country’s national governing body, have appointed strategy and technology consultancy PTI to support their digital transformation.
As part of its remit to build a better future for basketball and support the thousands of people benefiting from the sport, Basketball England is redesigning its technology stack with a focus on its website, and memberships and licensing and competitions platforms.
PTI will initially support Basketball England in procuring and integrating a new technology stack that supports its strategic commercial and operational objectives, with an initial focus on membership and licensing. PTI will then lead integration across Basketball England’s entire data technology estate and business areas.
Stewart Kellett, CEO of Basketball England, said: “Engagement and interactions with our various stakeholders has made it clear that we need technology platforms that can deliver on the ever-evolving demands of our various audiences, and make us more streamlined as an organisation. PTI have a strong track record of supporting leading rights-holders, including in the national governing body space, to do exactly this.”
Ben Wells, CEO of PTI Digital, added: “Having the right technology and right technology strategy is now critical for every rights-holder in the sports industry, and Basketball England’s member clubs, players and staff will see a game-changing impact of a new tech stack across key areas of the organisation. We’re delighted to be working with Basketball England and believe our expertise in technology solutions will have a tangible impact on the sport.”
The engagement with Basketball England comes off the back of a major project last year with national governing body British Cycling, for whom PTI developed a new Digital Transformation Roadmap.
