PTI Digital are delighted to have been appointed by London Stadium to deliver a Connected Stadium roadmap with a view to optimising its customer experience and revenue maximisation.
London Stadium already has substantial infrastructure in place – WiFi and DAS connectivity provided by O2/Cisco and EE respectively – and PTI has been engaged to define a strategic approach to deliver a commercial return on the venue’s investment.
PTI will be consulting across the technology estate, for all requirements in bowl and throughout concourses, including the Stadium IPTV network and at food and beverage concessions. A key aim will be to deliver innovative solutions to enhance the visitor experience during events, integrating services such Click & Collect in general admission seats, and to-seat ordering in hospitality, as well as optimising digital menu boards and ePOS integration.
PTI will also be working with London Stadium to enable Open Roaming, whereby two or more WiFi systems are integrated to enable customers to move seamlessly from one to another without the need to re-login.
The London Stadium joins other major Venues and Rightsholders in PTI’s portfolio of clients which also includes Oak View Group and Co-op Live, Bristol Sport and Ashton Gate, City Football Group, Norwich City and Edgbaston Stadium.
Graham Gilmore, CEO, London Stadium, said: “We have invested a considerable amount into developing our core connectivity foundations and it was critical to us that we then defined a strategy for capitalising on that investment to create the ideal customer experience. Connecting everything together to create a single customer view that enables a high level of personalisation is our end goal and PTI’s holistic end-to-end approach is absolutely critical in achieving that.”
Mike Bohndiek, Chief Executive Officer at PTI says “We are delighted to bring London Stadium into our burgeoning client roster. Given the work London Stadium has already implemented at what we describe as the critical base layer of the technology pyramid, we are looking forward to building the consumer-facing experience on top of it, driving a highly personalized experience and increased revenues as a consequence”.
PTI’s digital transformation pyramid – which unifies its three core pillars of Venue Technology, Data & Digital and Commercial Strategy – lays the foundation for the holistic digital transformation of sports and entertainment organisations and venues. It is this integrated, efficient approach which begins with strategic intent, informed by insight and powered by the right technology infrastructure which creates significant commercial advantage over the long-term.
